The horses are all brought to the west side of the hill, out of sight. Do you tie them up?
Mykael lies 50 feet away from the party; a quarter of the way down the grassy hill. The rabbit blood dries and soon begins to attract flies.
Hiding behind the 3 foot wide logs, everyone else tries to stay still and quiet. Seconds pass, then minutes as you hear the chirping of birds and the buzz of insects, mostly stray bees travelling from their hive.
Half an hour later Mykael is the first to notice the figures stalking through the forest. The wolves are sniffing around and converging on the hill. There are 5 of them, seen by Mykael and Caelum at first, one of which is bigger with darker fur and red eyes. They stop when they spot Mykael's form, keeping to the dense trees and shrubs before the hill.
After an inaudible exchange of growls (White Fang's and Grizzly's ears perk up) one of the wolves steps forward out of the treeline and clambers up the hill. It travels one quarter of the way up, before stopping with one paw in the air and observing the top of the hill. Your canine buddies hear the high pitched whimper, as the wolf looks ready to turn back.
Out of Character: If you were to attack now, bows would have a -2 range penalty against this wolf 150' away, or -4 against the 4 others, not including their cover bonus from being near trees.
And Diarmadhim, you would have to speak Terran to give such complicated orders. I allowed it last time, since you were in dense fog and spend a few rounds miming what you wanted the elementals to do. If they choose to use such a tactic, it's their decision. (Also I hope you don't mind my rolls, I got you a 1 on Stealth and 8 on Perception. Caelum got a 29 on Perception and 27 Stealth.).
It would take a Knowledge (Arcana) to identify the bigger wolf.

Thinking that this is the moment to capture or kill them so that he isn't constantly looking over shoulder Zork immediately shoots his bow despite the slight disadvantage while saying, "Attack! Its the wolves!"
Out of Character: I put 4 as bonus as its normally 6 and 1d8+3? If not please roll for me.
Theaton curses under his breath and takes aim at the lead larger wolf. HE will be using rapid shot on this attempt to hit. So that is a +6 to hit with bow with a -2 to hit due to feat and a -4 due to cover and concealment. That wipes each out so a +0 per shot.
Mykael lets out a frustrated grunt and rises to his feat as he produces his sword and presents his shield ready to stroke at any of the wolves that may attack, but his heart sinks as arrows fly as he worries that the trap has failed to draw the wolves in close enough for them to engage. He glances back to Archival with a pleading look on his face hoping that Archival can summon something that will halt the wolves' possible retreat.

As the wolf approaches, I unsummon Caelum to free myself up for battle. During the fight I will summon up to four small earth elementals.
Out of Character: Since I don't know how the fight will progress - I'll leave their actions and die rolls up to you ICon Here's the pertinent information:
Small Earth Elemental
AC 17, touch 10, flat-footed 17 (-1 DX, +7 natural, +1 size)
HP 17, Fort +4, Ref -1, Will +4, Immune elemental traits (Immune to bleed, paralysis, poison, sleep, stunning, critical hits, flanking, precision-based attacks like sneak attack
Improved Bull Rush, Power Attack (-1 attack, +3 damage – not added into listed stats)
Speed 20 ft., burrow 20 ft., earth glide
Melee slam +8 (1d6+7)
Earth Mastery (+1 attack and damage if both it and foe are touching the ground - not added into listed stats)
ST 20, DX 8, CN 17, IQ 4, WS 11, CH 11
BAB +2, CMB +6, CMD 15
Senses: darkvision 60 ft., tremorsense 60 ft.; Perception +4
On charge +2 attack roll, -2 to AC until start of next turn (Adjusted AC of 15 during their first round of combat).
Out of Character: Okay, two quick things. Zork should not be getting a damage penalty, only a penalty to attack rolls. So 1d8+5 it should have been.
On the attack roll, the +6 normally isn't correct, but I see on your sheet it says 6 [BAB], when it should be only 5. The +1 from dexterity is added to ranged attacks, and the +1 weapon training is for bows (But technically they are not BAB). Total of +7 to hit.
Second, Theaton has a gem which makes the rapid shot only a -1 (Which is exactly enough difference to make those shots count)!
In Character: Zork's shout spurs everyone into action, wolves included. The big one barks out towards you.
Theaton is supremely quick to shoot, firing two arrows in rapid succession. The first one embeds itself in the big wolf's foot and it jumps back, ceasing its dreadful barking. The other arrow falls way short.
The wolf on the hill begins to turn back and move briskly as his pack mates bark towards the party and also begin to turn away.
Archival's Earth elemental moves as fast as it can, swimming through earth, but doesn't catch up to the retreating wolf. After wracking his brain, Archival recognizes the beast he's facing. It's a Worg, a base-intelligence magical beast that looks like a wolf, but possesses the ability to speak Common and Goblin.
Zork pulls back on his bow and releases a well aimed arrow. It penetrates the closest wolf's head, crunching through bone and sticking out the other end. The wolf's head snaps forward with the impact, then forelegs plummet to the ground as it somersaults and rolls down the hill, dead.
The Worg emits a pained howl as it runs into the denser forest, Theaton connecting with a ricocheting shot but hardly a solid hit. The other wolves join the Worg in running away.
They move with a speed of 50', the Worg covering 250' and the other wolves covering 200' with each 6-second round (Not counting terrain). Are you advancing down the hill? Summoning more elementals? Allowing Grizzly and White Fang to chase? Letting them run? Shooting some hopeless shots (-6 for range, -4 for cover)?

Theaton will look down the hill but not give chase. HE will keep Whitefang with him so that the wolf does not give chase either. Looking over at Zork he says, "We were wanting them to come close to spring the trap but we did kill one. I think killing that lead wolf was the main target. None the less maybe they will run away before stopping and leave us alone for a bit of time. Lets continue our exploration." Theaton calls everyone together and we head back to the horses before continuing our exploration for the day.
Zork saves his arrows and looks to retrieve the ones that he did shoot. He goes down the hill to inspect the wolf and comments, "I hate being followed… " while pulling an arrow out of the corpse.
Looking back at the party, "You think they may come back for revenge?" Thinking they might he cuts off the head of the dead animal and finds a steak to display it on the bottom of the hill as a warning.
"Shall we press on now?"
Out of Character: The whole bonus, not to apply bonus, etc I never seem to get right even when following your guidance with my sheet so I will try my best but feel free to adjust if I make a mistake which is bound to happen.
