We will continue following the rout before us after taking a closer look to the right and to make sure nothing is going to jump out at us from behind. Knowing that the occupants know we are coming we will take out time a bit.
Unmodified rolls if needed: 16, 6, 10, 13, 11, 19
Checking the side tunnel first, you pass by the wooden gate, to a larger section of the cave. The sour smell is stronger and you see faint light coming from 3 candles placed around the room. Illuminating the small cavern, you make out crude charcoal and blood images of a reptilian devil with large teeth in a variety of poses. Two crude altars have been hewn from stone, one adorned with stains of blood. There's another exit across the room.
Satisfied there are no kobolds there, you turn back to continue down the outer edge of the cave. To your left there is another passage, you see it is rocky and narrow. The corridor also continues forward, constantly bending to the left.
Out of Character: I am a bit confused about the directions. I apologise for it not being a cave network with simpler directions. I will post another map to update the path I think you have taken. I don't know if you wanted to go back out of the temple room the way you came, or use the other exit. I assumed the first option.
If this map is correct, you come to another crossroads where the tunnel turns left, or continues it gradual left curve.

Out of Character: yes that is the route I had planned on taking.
In Character: At the crossroads Theaton will look to the left and make sure there is nothing coming our way but will lead the party straight to follow the path we are on.
Unmodified rolls: 12, 5, 18, 16, 11, 19
From that left passageway you can hear faint echoes of shrill, barking voices like orders being given in a hushed voice. But no footsteps or evidence of movement. You keep moving forwards.
Passing by some stalagmites in a puddle of water, you hear the single caw of a raven from up ahead. This section of the cave is cleaner and a slight glow can be seen from up ahead.
Nearing the opening, you see the walls are decorated by wooden frames made of fresh cut branches, and banners cut from horse hides and old blankets have crude symbols drawn on them. You hear some unrecognized noise, like talking, coming from within.
Inside, you see more of the crude banners covering all the walls. In the centre of the room stands a bubbling cauldron over some hot coals (The source of the glow) and behind that is a crouched kobold. This one however has scales of bright purple and is adorned with feathers and bones, multiple pouches and holds a sickle while a raven is perched on his shoulder.
He asks, surprised and in Common, "Not kobolds or mites! Who are you? How did you get in here?"
