Out of Character: I get a plus one for strength and a +1 for the sword on damage. Thus the +2 rolled a 8 +2 is 10. If I still have not gained that +1 back from strength then my bad.

In Character: Theaton will look at the blood that is flowing and feel for a source of the blood and try to find the neck. Theaton will then slice the neck of the shaman to finish him off. He will look over to Jhod and Shivas and tell them the shaman is finished.

If rolls are needed all unmodified: 8, 14, 15, 2, 19, 10

Theaton slices something unseen as the chief comes down the tunnel to watch. He walks away and comes back with the statuette.

When the shamans body finally spears 5 minutes later, 15 kobolds have gathered to watch the scene curiously.

"Tartuk has been killed by the big people!" Chief Sootscale announces. "His god holds no more power here!"

With that said, he lifts the statue over his head and throws it down next to the shaman. It cracks into a few pieces of ivory. All the kobold are silent in expectation of some repercussions.

Out of Character: That's okay, Jhod restored all your constitution, but not strength yet. Still -3 to the score, for a modifier of +0.

Theaton will address the Chief. "We will head back into the shamans chamber and take our half of the treasure that the shaman promised us. We will then leave you to your home and will not bother you again. May your life be long."

Theaton will watch as Shivas and Jhod head back before he himself heads back to the shamans cave. If the kobolds do not try to stop us what do we find as far as treasure in there?

"That room was mine before Tartuk took it," Says the chief. "I will have to look closely at the things to be offered to our saviours."

He follows back to the room and walks over to the pile of treasure which contains much shiny junk such as common crystals and broken weapons and amour among many coins. "This was taken from the mites," He says as he picks up a soiled leather bag spilling its contents - non-copper coins, a brass ring and a pouch.

"These are my things" He says as he picks out a large amount of the shiniest coins as well as most of the armour pieces and cheap quartz and mica. It takes him a very long time, during which a group of kobolds retrieve the shaman's body and strip it, squabbling over clothes and tribal jewellery.

They leave his wand and journal behind but two more possibly valuable items catch Theaton's eye. The shaman's sickle is being fought over by two warriors, it looks well made and possible forged of cold iron. Also, the shaman's bracers are inscribed with magical runes; a young kobold and a warrior argue over those.

---

"These are too big for kobolds" The chief finally pushes over a pair of boots inscribed with elven text and a well made light steel shield.

"These are useless things, I don't want them. Why do I need fancy sticks and dust?" He hands over 7 enruned bolts and a pouch of dust.

"And the rest of the not-as-shiny circles," He pushes over a pile of 6120 copper pieces, 1226 silver pieces, 376 gold coins and 3 platinum coins, having taken 10 of those himself and mistaken them for the shiniest silver coins.

He picks up the brass ring with a pearl set in it and begins to ponder it. Shivas whispers "I think that is Svetlana's wedding ring that the bandits stole."

Theaton will take the boots and shield and upon hearing Shivas will tell the Chieftain that we need the ring he is holding as it was stolen from a dear friend. Theaton will also ask for the sickle and bracers that the kobolds are fighting over as a reward for giving the chieftain his room back. The coins they will take also along with the bolts and dust. Theaton will hand Shivas the journal and the wand. He will hand Jhod the soiled leather bag and sack from the mites for Jhod to place all the coins in. Theaton will ask the chieftain for one complete set of armor as a reward too.

The kobolds happily give away all the equipment and the ring, in awe and reverence to their saviors. However when asked about armour the chief's eyes widen and he fingers his intricate bone amulet defensively. He points at one of the warriors and commands him in the draconic tongue. The warrior quickly removes his armour and hesitantly offers the small sized leather to Theaton.

Theaton thanks the chieftain as he takes the armor and the rest of the loot that we have received. Theaton will see that Shivas and Jhod both head back out and then follows them. Once outside we will find our horses if they are still around where we left them and make way for Olegs to store some of this loot and be less encumbered.

The party leave via the main entrance; the kobold secure three ropes to three hooks, rendering the pit traps inert. The horses are still standing by the mouth of the secret entrance and the party rides off, the cheering of the kobolds dying off in the distance.

Fireday 25 Pharast

The next day begins with large white cumulus clouds blowing from the south, and threatening dark cumulonimbus clouds from the horizon.

Theaton had no time to appreciate the weather. He gets up feeling terribly drained and his skin is red and bloated.

Jhod looks over it and says, "You have Red Ache. It's a debilitating disease, and I am not initiated in curing any disease. We must get to Oleg's as soon as possible and get you into bed."

Shivas offers to heal the horses, which would allow the party much faster and longer travel each day.

Out of Character: During the night Theaton took another 3 strength damage from the disease, but healed one of each score. So final strength is at -5 and dexterity at -2.

If you hustle for double speed, each hour the horses will take 0 then 1 then 2, 4, 8, 16 damage. But the clerics can channel energy to heal them. You have to be careful if you come across any animals our monsters though. Would you prefer that method of travel?
