Shivas readies her scimitar for their approach. "Well so much for that idea." She says with a shrug. If they go to attack she will defend herself and attack back

Game Master says... The two black kobolds approach cautiously and slowly as you both prepare to strike from the shadows of trees. One of them shouts "There!" Pointing at Theaton. They both charge, receiving a prepared attack each, not noticing Shivas' position.
Shivas' prepared attack connects, cutting a wound on its arm (2 damage), but she misses her opportunity attack as they move past. Theaton's prepared attack strikes the leather it is wearing. Having much quicker reactions than theirs, both of you attack again. Shivas swings wide while Theaton just manages to hook his weapon under the undamaged kobold's arm, slicing it off as the creature falls to the ground screaming in agony.
The lone kobold retaliates with a spear, piercing Theaton in the leg (2 damage). From 100 feet away, the other two lazy kobolds prepare slings and throw rocks. Both connect with Theaton hitting him in the chest, which only winds him a little (1 non-lethal), and a lucky shot in the cheek (For 4 damage).

Game Master says... Theaton slices his target across the chest, knocking down the kobold in front of him, then fumbles thorough his equipment to switch to his bow. Shivas meanwhile fires two arrows, falling far short.
The two kobolds advance to 70 feet away and fling more stones, hitting both Shivas and Theaton (2 damage each). They advance closer to 40 feet away still throwing stones, missing as they shout insults in a harsh language.
You both retaliate with arrows hitting one kobold each. Both of them drop their slings and double over, slowly trying to crawl away, to the treeline left of you.
