The Second says... Zork is stupefied by Jhod's interpretation. "Thank you, if you did not share that I would be still wondering if I were cursed."
Then Zork wonders, could these creatures be a help to us? He pulls out a gold coin for the next time they sleep, he will be sure to put it somewhere they know it is a gift.

Theaton will set a few gold and silver our when they break camp. He will also say a prayer to the trees and the forest hoping the forest is well and that the creatures within it are healthy and happy. He will also ask that the forest allows him to hunt for fresh food for this party.
As they travel the forest Theaton will be on the look out for any game that will provide them a nice meal. He will have his bow out and a arrow notched at the ready in case he does find some game.
Perception checks with the +5 added to them. 19, 14, 7 and 21

Game Master says... Jhod leaves a larger amount, 16 gold, as you break camp. You all walk a few paces and looking back, the items are gone without a trace.
Theaton only manages to catch a squirrel, adding a little meat to the lunch of dry rations. During lunch Zork feels a slight tug on his right boot. Looking down he sees the strap moving in the air, being fed through the buckle of his left boot.

The Second says..."What the..." Zork is surprised by the magic and remembers what he learned about the creatures. "No you won't..." He grabs the strap and stops the folly, stands up and looks around for what is causing it. "We are here on a serious mission, lives are at stake." He says while showing an annoyed face.

Theaton looks up at Zork, "Peace my friend they only toy with you. Place a couple gold coins at your feet and do not get angry with them. They seek no harm just some fun. Just like some of the kids back home" Theaton Will thank the forest for the game and will make sure the fire is well put out before they leave and continue their journey of mapping the area.

The Second says...Zork calms a bit but his frustration is still there. He says, "I am not rich, what will you have of me blood?"

Game Master says... There in no response to Zork but Theaton could swear he heard a barely audible high pitched laughter. Jhod says, "Theaton is right. Do not let it get to you." As he stands up to walk, he falls face first, his own boots being tied together. "It seems my generosity did not appease them. Maybe we will have to show them by action." He leaves behind a pouch of 50 gp and impresses his holy symbol in the mud in a priestly gesture.
The forest is pleasant and no further pranks are pulled before the night falls. Are there any special preparations for the night such as watches, fires or more gifts?

The Second says...Zork secretly knows he is not parting any gifts with these 'elements of laughter' so he asks whomever that is on watch to be diligent about it. Before sleeping he puts twigs and dry leaves around him so he can know the instant someone is nearby. He will sleep on his equipment and also check himself before ever moving. All this gives him some peace of mind but he is sure it is not over.
