When not hunting mice, Mykael spends most of his free time training or maintaining his weapons and gear; the others may come across him sitting on a log or stool of some king outside the tavern slowly and mythodically sharpening his sword or polishing and cleaning his armor or some other piece of equipment. Mykael seems to do this with almost religious reverence as though he is in a trance, although he will acknowledge their presence and it's clear he is fully aware of his surroundings.
Mykael will also tend to seek out Kesten for small talk and in hopes that he would be willing to train or practice his skills with him. Mykael tends to spend his evening drinking at the tavern, carousing with the other patrons. Mykael will offer to along with Theaton as well suggesting that another sword arm might be useful. He becomes more comfortable around the wolf but still has a tendency to tug at his armor when he is in close proximity to the animal.
During the few days break at the trading post, Kesten speaks freely with Mykael. He talks about his training with the noble house of Garess and his short adventuring career in his late teens. He turns morose as he tells of how things were back then and during his duty as a house guard.
But on the 29th Mykael makes a faux pas, asking if he has a girl waiting back home. Kesten's face twists in anger and her says gruffly, "I think you'd best go and help the others pack for tomorrow. Please, find someone else to talk to until you return."

The horses and travelers are packed with rations, arrows, bolts and basic camp supplies as they all head out the gate, turning their backs to the rising sun. Crossing the rolling green fields, Zork and Theaton point out the reference points they used for mapping and the expansive forest ten miles to the south.
The forest expands northwest and by late afternoon you travel into it and start exploring the new territory. You now do have a mapmaker's kit as well as a high-quality sextant, but not a spyglass.
Out of Character: I take it Mykael is mounted on Archival's horse again.
I need a few Perception checks each time you explore, and this time also Reflex saves (Or your mount's Reflex saves).

Zork would have bought the sickle for the 12gps just out of desperation but its not what he really wanted. He then quietly follows the others.
Out of Character: I thought it was a regular bow, since it is a crossbow he would have bought bolts. How much did it cost?
*Caelum rides Midnight in order to better perform his scouting duties. If he spots anything, he alerts me via our mental link and I share the information with our companions.*
Out of Character: Midnight has the Scent ability and can thus detect opponents within 30 feet, 60 feet if upwind, and 15 feet if downwind. Strong scents (Smoke, rotting garbage, etc.) can be detected at double range and overpowering scents (Skunk musk, troglodyte stench, etc.) can be detected at triple range.
Mykael hangs back with Archival and Zork. It quickly becomes apparent that stealth is not Mykael’s strong point as his armor and gear clinks and clangs and barrels through foliage snapping twigs; it’s obvious that he has not spent much time in a forest environment.
His head is on a swivel though as he constantly takes in his surroundings trying to keep an eye out for any danger.
Looking out between the trees every so often you spot the movement of game running away from the sizable party. It's getting well into the afternoon when Caelum suddenly tugs on the reigns and Midnight rears up, whinnying. *Bear trap* he sends telepathically looking at the glint of sharp jaws jutting out from the forest litter.
The warning comes a split second too late as Archival puts a foot down right on the trigger of another trap. The jaws spring closed digging into his leg (8 damage). Birds scatter from the trees as he screams. Archival is in great pain and anchored in place until he wriggles out, breaks the mechanism or pulls the teeth apart.
Caelum says, "One more" Pointing a few feet ahead of Mykael where another bear trap sits. All of these traps are unflagged, unlike other traps you had seen which, while concealed, were flagged for sentient creatures to notice.
