"Nice to meet you Hatton. Let us escort you to Oleg's place so that you can recover some of your loss and maybe get another dog."
Theaton will start leading the horses back towards Oleg's like they were before the little side adventure.
Oleg's is close enough that you reach it by sundown. Two black ravens chew on scraps of meat from the bandit corpse on the wall. One of Kesten's guards stands angrily above it on lookout. He shouts inside "It's the explorers!" Then winches up the bar "Come inside and get out of the damned wind."
Oleg and Kesten greet you and seat you at the benches by the fire. Oleg also greets Hatton. He asks "Are those my crates?" He unloads them quickly and checks them, "Thank you so much! This is excellent! I can finally trade again and pay off my loans! I would be glad to give the two of you a whole Thousand gold worth of trade credit! It's well worth for what you have done for me!"
When he sees everyone's expressions he asks, "A thousand is not enough? You all look terrible! What happened?"
"A thousand in trade credit is enough for me. I am just weary from the explorations I have done. I think I will try to get a good rest after a nice meal. Hatton and Shivas I will see you in the morning to discuss our next outing."
Theaton will get some food to sate his hunger and wash it down with some water before heading to his bed for a nice night of rest for a change.
Oathday 14th Pharast
After a very long rest (Out of Character: apologies for my absence) you awake to a warm and sunny day. Heading outside there is a stewing pot of oats over the fireplace and sitting at the benches are Oleg, Hatton, Maerrun, Kesten and one of his guards, as well as an older man. He has brown hair and a large bald patch, and wears a haphazard mix of leathers and cloths.
It is he who looks up and speaks first "Good morning, you must be the explorers I have heard about! I am Jhod Khavken, a cleric of Erastil, the god of the frontier. Please eat, sit." He points to the bench across from him.
"That's great! Pleasure to meet you too," He replies eagerly. Looking at him more closely as you eat you see that he has a thick brown mustache and stubble on his chin while a few wisps of hair fail to cover his bald spot. He clothes may not give away his religiosity, but he wears a wooden symbol of a bow made of two antlers. He looks to be in his late forties. His voice is also shaky and he looks to the sky, avoiding eye contact.
"I hear you are out there exploring the wilderness of the Greenbelt. A wilderness I know from tales within our church to contain many shrines and chapels to Erastil from the bygone days when Taldor set out to occupy this region. Nations may fall, but the gods rarely do.
"Normally I would be out there on my own finding these places, but I fear what I have seen. Yes indeed, seen! My own eyes have seen a vision full of vivid color and detail of a great temple to Erastil, but it was guarded by a fearsome and hulking bear. When the vision was over I felt a tug to this spot, but I feel it no longer. Was it providence for this task to fall to you? Either way I know you can help me res - I mean - expand my faith."
"We may not share a mission, but our paths overlap. You honor me with this offer and I must go with you. If we succeed in finding and clearing the temple, I will gladly offer you miracles of Erastil at no cost where reasonable. But I will need supplies and a weapon, preferably a longbow."
