He's just stating the obvious. What everyone wants to see is someone arrested and charged for the crime.
Optimistic? What kind of stupid answer is that? It has been so long since this poor woman was brutally murdered and the police stated that they are being optimistic? That's why this country is heading to where is heading, no seriousness, no commitment, no professionalism and we just accept everything without quarrel!

Title: Dana's Murderer Unmasked
Comments: Top story in Guardian today. Very surprised Police would disclose that David "Junior" Baker killed by Police in Freeport on Wednesday is a prime suspect in her murder. Story also said his death would not seriously affect the investigation.
I beg to differ. Why wasn't this man under close surveillance by police. How can you let the "Patsy" Die as he is a prime state witness. I hope this doesn't turn out like the JFK assignation where the Patsy was killed and case closed.

Comments: David, sounds exactly like that. How convenient that the prime suspect is now dead? Like the police thinks we're a bunch of fools!
So that's it? Case solved and it closed? There isn't enough being given to the public about this case, either that or the police just doesn't have any tangible leads to who it was. I truly hope this does not become the new norm of crime in Trinidad.

Title: Dana Seetahal
Comments: The puzzling thing about this murder is that no one has so far been arrested or seriously questioned. WHY?
The police are fully aware of how and when and where the incident occurred yet they have come to what can now be considered as closure.
With this case now likely to be swept under the carpet.
