While doctors say they are encouraged by House Majority Whip Steve Scalise's recovery from the gunshot wound he suffered Wednesday, they said the injuries suffered by the Louisiana Republican were worse than initially reported and that he was at "Imminent risk of death" when he arrived at the hospital. Dr. Jack Sava, chief of trauma care at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, said Scalise remains in critical condition and will require more operations, as well as an extended hospital stay. Ref. I have heard that the worse place to be shot in is the gut. The damage is soo hard to repair and it is hard to make sure you get it all without cross contamination. I do hope that all that free health care that we are paying for is enough to help him out.

I'm glad to see he has recovered. What happened to him shouldn't happen to anyone. He and I don't see eye to eye on some topics and we do on others but that makes no difference, we are both people and people shouldn't do this to other people nor wish to see it done… except rare occasions.
