Life lessons from Condolezza Rice
The speech wasn't what many of the Bishop's School students had expected from the former U.S. Secretary of State. Instead of focusing on politics and policy, Dr. Rice told them to follow their passions, attempt difficult things, learn about other cultures - and get enough sleep. Ref. Source 8
I always admired the way Condoleezza Rice conducted herself in public, there was little to attack her with because she is a classy woman. Good to see her still making an impact on people.

Pro-Lifers: Pro-Abortion Views Disqualify Condi Rice as Romney VP
Media speculation on the person Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will select as his vice-presidential running mate reached a fever pitch today with media outlets, led by the Drudge Report, guessing it will be Bush defense official Condoleezza Rice.
However, pro-life advocates would reject the selection because Rice has continuously defended her stance supporting legal abortions. Rice has said that abortion should be "as rare a circumstance as possible," but added that government should not interfere, according to a Washington Times interview. Ref. Source 7

Report Claims Romney Rejected Condi Rice for VP Over Abortion
A report that came out late last week suggests Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney rejected the idea of Condoleezza Rice as his vice-presidential running mate because of her pro-abortion position.
Rice technically supports legalized abortion, though she also supports many pro-life limits on it and has tried to present her abortion view as a middle of the road position. According to the web site Radar Online, which quotes "a source close to Rice," saying Romney ultimately rejected her because she wouldn't renounce her position. Ref. Source 4
