CNN projects businessman David Perdue and Congressman Jack Kingston will be the top two finishers in the crowded Georgia Republican Senate primary and will meet in a July 22 runoff. No candidate topped the 50% threshold needed to avoid a runoff.
The winner of the runoff will face Democrat Michelle Nunn in November in a race to succeed retiring GOP Sen. Saxby Chambliss.
Only recently Georgia went through the 2018 Georgia gubernatorial election which involves Brian Kemp, Stacey Abrams and Ted Metz. According to the results Brain Kemp, a republican won the polls 2.2% more than Stacey, which is 1,978,408 votes. Funny enough, Ted only got 0.9% of the votes, making it 37,235.

Georgia election results will go to a full recount by hand, state officials say, due to extremely close results between Biden and Trump. A week-long hand recount of Georgia’s presidential election results has confirmed Biden won the state and its 16 electoral votes.
