Has anyone heard of the European Six Nations Rugby tournament?
England v Wales v Scotland v Ireland v France v Italy?
The most Iconic Battle happens this weekend - Wales v England.
The sport is just a conduit for a National Passion for settling a historical score.
We pretend we don't care but we really do!

I think we have a few Threads here. It seems most of the group here is into the more well protected NFL version of play than a real man's sport - Rugby (but don't quote me on that).

I remember some American exchange students visiting our Secondary school once.
When they saw our Rugby team come out in their shirts, they expected us to toss the ball around like some netball game. They were horrified at the ferocity of our tackling, man to man, shoulder to ribcage. I was one of the lightest on the pitch, how those lunkheads move with all they are wearing I shall never know.

The game was a tough one, Ireland's O'Driscole was brilliant.
Their second try in two minutes was a strong break away, the teams exchanged drop-goals and it was over. Ireland deserved their win, their first grand slam for fifty years!
