Trinidad Police Shoot - People Protest
People want the police to do their job and when they do it they protest. People want that everyone can attempt to assault an officer in uniform and they must just take that. What is it the people in this country want from police?
I think most of these protesters feel that they are not being treated fairly because they come from the poorer areas of Trinidad. I can't say if they have a point of injustice but they do seem to be frustrated enough that they are willing to go to the streets over it.
Here is the root of all of this.
People want the police to take care of these bandits but in these hot spot areas the people that live there don't want it.
All you have to do is look at the people that protesting and the way they carrying on.
The media does not help either by sensationalizing things negatively towards police doing their JOB.
In the USA when police officers do a very good job at something (Heroic) they get front page coverage. Maybe the newspapers need to start doing this, it will help bring favor with the police, maybe not in hot spot areas but all it can do is good.
