The arrow finds its mark and the oracle takes a moment to gasp and remove the arrow, and then cast a healing spell. It looks like he is no stranger to pain and shows no sign of fear!

Basmet and Charles are caught by the hands and are too busy trying to escape.

Feyra wastes no time as she draws another arrow to shoot at the oracle.

"Who do you think we are!"

Reflex Save: 9+7=16
Attack Roll: 15+5=20

Charles uses his Shortspear to attack the oracle.

"Since you betrayed us, now you will pay for this!"

Reflex Save: 18 (16+2=18).
Attack Roll: 20.
Critical Hit: 14 (10+4=14).
Damage #1: 8
Damage #2: 7
Damage #3: 7

With a couple of arrow shots, the oracle is left bleeding and on his knees. Finally, Gordon charges forward, just in time to stop him from casting a spell.

The old man uses his last breath to say:

"Naïve enough as to be fooled by my act..! Blood has been spilled on the floor of the Grand Gallery! The sacrifice is made! By Anubis, after years of pretending I follow Seneb and his orders, the artifact is MINE!"

With these words, the milky-eyed oracle dies before Charles, and the hands produced by his spell crawl back into the ground.

A second later, the ghost-spirit of the so-called "Rameses" (The oracle's "Name") rushes out of his body and flies its way into the opening at the high end of the Grand Gallery.

Feyra is panicked even more.

"What? There is no way! Don't let him escape!"

She looks around as she searches to find the scroll that he was holding. As she searches she says.

"Where is it, where is it... There must be somehow else to get up there! Come on! We should not let him get ahead of us! This is what Egypt is hanging from! That artifact! Don't let him or Seneb get it!"

Examining the scroll reveals something written in glowing blue marks.

(It is written in Celestial. Can anyone read Celestial among you?)

"No! That's supposedly impossible!" Basmet looks at the scroll and says, "That's Celestial text! Give it to me and let's try to catch up." She begins running up the Grand Gallery, chasing the ghost.
