Bast just sighed, Elaine was far too over protective. It was one of the flaws that sort of irked him sometimes, but he had to remind himself that he felt the exact same way about her. Hugging her did feel amazing though, and he couldn't help but admit this would be a lot worse if he had to leave her behind.
"I'm glad you're coming along, but you know Alistar can take care of ourselves. I'm just can't imagine leaving you for a time, so am happy you'll be joining us on our journey."
He couldn't stop grinning whenever Elaine was in the room. Nor did he want to let her go, but Alec was in the room. So after a time he did release her and look over at him for direction, though he didn't release her hand.
Ashipu stretches out his pale hand from under his dark robe. He shakes once, slowly. "You may call me Ghost, and many also call me by my job as Ashipu. His Majesty did send for me. I take it that the king is interested in a greater display of power.
"Perhaps you would like a beer, you look thirsty. They are serving some in the room over there. I can wait for you to return."
Erlic, trying to maintain his smile, he takes his hand back behind his head scratching it.
"Thirsty, no no no. I'm fine, d-do you by any chance know the name V-Vonglol?"
Before he replies or anything he interupts him if he does, and continues.
"A-Anyway, greater display of power you say? What do you mean by that, s-sir?"
Erlic gets more and more nervous as he is trying to speak as he is not used to this kind of environment. He feels suffocated by the atmosphere, sweating and trembling trying to stand up to his feet.
Out of Character:
I'm having some issues with my internet connection and it will last for about few days. Althought I 'll try my best to keep up to date, keep in mind that I may delay. I will fix the issues and be back "Normally" As soon as possible. *smile*
Travelling with Elaine was a refreshing experience for Bast and Alistar. Despite leaving the encampment and the forests what they so loved, Bast felt that they were walking the path to their destiny.
Eventually, the capital city of Babylon stands before them. An impressive beacon of civilization, in the middle of the Barren Lands.
Elaine stayed at a local inn, expecting Bastis to return later in the day, and Bast and Alistar are now looking at the grand palace, the main residence of the king and queen. In front of the main gate, two armed guards prevent entry.

"I can't say I have," Answers Ashipu in his husky voice, "But make nothing of it, for I focus on my work and am not very social."
"This ziggurat is very grand and all, but I think Nebuchadnezzar has plans to control Kishar's domain. To face nature itself and tell it he has been victorious. We must talk only in private, but must also wait for the servant to return."
Out of Character: Would You prefer I refer to him as Ashipu or Ghost? Personally, I think I prefer Ghost. Maybe I could even translate it to Etemmu, Lil, Bu'idu or Zaquiqu. I like the first two, but don't have the time to research the proper word at the proper period.

Bast still couldn't believe he was in Babylon about to step into the Grand Palace itself! He wished Elaine could be at his side, but he did have Alistar at least. Boy the story he'll have for her after this day is done!
He took a step forward toward the gates, but was immediately stopped by two guards. This surprised him some at first, but then he thought of how he looked to them. Probably like some form of pauper.
"Pardon me gentlemen, but I am expected by the King. My name is Bastis, and I have traveled far. I do now wish to keep his majesty waiting."

One of the guards whispers to his partner:
"What's with all these arrivals? It's been, what? Six of them?"
The other guard asks Bast to wait, and soon returns to accompany him to the waiting room, passing from the structure's vast corridors. There, Bast sees two other men waiting, who in return see the man with the eagle perched on his shoulder entering.
The two of them have been waiting for about 10 minutes now.
It's actually a hawk not an eagle
"Good morning gentleman, are you here to see the King as well?" Bast said a bit nervously looking around.
"I'm still not really clear why I'm here. Do you all know what's going on?"
"Oh where are my manner, I'm Bastis, but everyone just calls me Bast" he says with a boyish grin.
"And this handsome fellow is Alistar," Bast says gesturing toward his hawk.
