The government of China has sold $38 million worth of arms to the government of Salva Kiir to help it quell rebellion headed by his former vice president Dr Riek Machar. Ref. Source 1

This is another place where there are nuances and even the good guys aren't necessarily all that good. They are all there looking for more power and longevity rather than trying to do what's right for the country. Although, maybe they think only they know what's right and they have to be in power to implement it… but I doubt that's the reason.
