Do you feel that if we had a person like Judge Judy in our court system then it will help the crime situation?

I think that we have reached the stage where criminals do not care if they go to jail or not. Therefore, I doubt at this stage, anyone including Judge Judy, will be able to assist in the crime situation.

Rather off topic, but...
If we had a caring government, maybe this would make a big difference in our current crime situation. Implementing more harsher penalties or simply upgrading our legal system would make a big difference. Also, there is an urgent need for training in the police force and also, to weed out all the "corrupted cops" in the system.

I believe that the only difference that Judge Judy will make is, the backlog of court cases will become a thing of the past!

No, I don't think it will help because people are "pass feeling" so when this usually occurs, there is nothing that can be really done about it.

From all I have read and heard about your little island I doubt that judge judy would be able to do anything. She would probably be kidnapped and murdered just to prove that they are not scared of any judge. I think the people who actually care for things down there need to rise up and retake the island from these criminals who think they own it now.

You know the thing about Trinidad is this..There's no understanding or differentiation between what a radical is or a conformist...anti-terrorism or full blown terrorist. There's an attitude of indifference here that affects the entire way the island's social and economic climates revolve.
Sticking together to fight is an issue of choosing sides, which for the typical Trini. means personal gains...There's no issue in anyone's minds here as to whether an ideology is using peaceful tools for advancements or developments, or violent, radical tools...
So you can guess it before I say it....snakes..we got allot of snakes...people involved in all sorts of activities trying deperately to shed these involvements to become more conformist..
The thing with that is, they never stop shedding...and no one sticks together. I guess they can't because they never really can escape their binds....now what does that say?
The law has no friends here.

Although I understand what you are saying and in many ways agree, I do not know what that has to do with the Topic which is:

JB wants to bring me back to earth..That's okay, except the answer to the question is...no...
I think the cases are way too traumatic for that kind of puerility approach.
