QUOTE
Transporting a greater amount of ore will in turn require more diesel-powered vehicles - a principal source of greenhouse emissions in uranium mining.

This shows me that they are using diesel for transport instead of using a electric rail or alternate biofuel to keep the CO2 emmisions on the nuclear power down. Thus making nuclear power still a possible alternate source of power.

Now this is directly linked to the claims made by Oil backed independent lobbyist in 1996/7 that ended up with the electric car being banned.

Indeed trucking can produce huge co2 commissions but is it more or less then that which is created by the cars that are on the road now and are expanding at a high rate?

Why not convert some of the is equipment to different fuel sources such as electricity or Hydrogen fuel cells. In its self unsustainable forever but an alternative. Also are the used fuel cells not able to be reused with different cores? I understood they could be so when building new reactors stage then so that one feeds the next. Then eventually mining is reduced.

I always find it very interesting that the oil companies does these researches that make them look better and the alternatives like nuclear power in this case look bad. They have made the electric car go away maybe they think they can make all this alternate energy sources go away too.
