With annual earnings in the US billions of dollars one has to wonder where entertainment of the future will truly be. Is Blizzard Entertainment possibly the best game makers of the world?

I think Blizzard definitely has a good chance at being the best. I remember when the company first started I only wanted to buy their cames because the installation was so easy and worked 99.99% of the time.

They found their niche early on and have not deviated from it. Though keep in mind without the original World of Warcraft, Diablo, and Starcraft Blizzard would most likely be a completely unknown company.

I do wonder if they can keep it up though. You can't always have that best game. Eventually someone is going to come out with a game no one thought of and revolutionize RPG's. WoW will eventually become obsolete to some other game.

When I was a kid Nintendo had Sega beat, and the later models, many thought, were better than Play Station. But then Nintendo flopped with the Cube and XBox came out, were in Nintendo now? I think limping on into second or third place.

I don't have statistics for all this but most people I know don't talk about the great game they have on the Wii. They talk about a game for PS3 or XBox. So it is possibl Blizzard will soon fall from grace, you can't be number one forever.
