Prostate Cancer
Treating Cancer in Cancun
For the 2 million American men suffering from prostate cancer, treatment for the disease can have devastating side effects, such as sexual impotence. That's why some patients are traveling to Cancun, Mexico, for an expensive and experimental treatment that could kill the cancer and retain sexual function. Why are American doctors skeptical?

That is good news and I will have to look into to it more and discuss it with my dad. He suffers from it thought it was in first stage is is well under control. He will die of old age before that gets him.
Combination immunotherapy effective for advanced prostate cancer
Advanced prostate cancer resistant to castration therapy appears to respond well to a combination of immune checkpoint blockades and treatments that target certain immune-busting cells commonly associated with poor patient prognosis and therapy resistance. Researchers have developed a novel chimeric mouse model to test the combination therapy using immune checkpoint blockades with therapies targeting myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs). Ref. Inflammatory bowel disease linked to prostate cancer. Men with inflammatory bowel disease have four to five times higher risk of being diagnosed with prostate cancer. This is the first report to show these men have higher than average PSA values and a significantly higher risk of potentially dangerous prostate cancer. They need to be screened more carefully for prostate cancer. About 1 million men have inflammatory bowel disease in the U.S., a common chronic condition that includes Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Source 3n.
