Nypht Introduction

Nypht is the handle I've been using as of late.

I'm very academic. At the moment I'm taking two languages in school, Chinese and German. I've dabbled in Spanish, French, and Japanese but I don't claim to be able to speak them. There are other languages I would like to learn if given the time and opportunity. I've come to enjoy math and science courses.

If someone is lecturing or attempting to pass on wisdom to me, I will generally sit up and pay attention, even it is a topic that doesn't particularly interest me. The more enthusiastic the speaker is, the more I enjoy the lecture.

I've become increasingly harsh and bitter towards childish behavior, particularly when it's an adult behaving that way. It's something I will no longer tolerate.

I used to get my news from stations such as NBC, FOX, etc. However, lately I've found that mainstream news stations are both too biased for my personal tastes and they aren't covering stories I really wish to read about. I started looking for a site where I could discuss international news with like-minded people, and this was the site I found. I hope to be a relatively active member here, as well as broaden my horizons about the world and points of view other than my own.
