But the undercover operation by San Diego State University campus police and the federal Drug Enforcement Administration, which resulted in 96 arrests, 75 of them students, hits home. It is also a rather rare case on a university campus of dealers with a direct connection to a drug cartel, complete with guns, cash, an organization chart and the arrogance to advertise drug sales via cell phone text messages.
