Planned Parenthood Abortion Director Fired, Becomes Pro-Life
Thousands of pro-life advocates on Monday night were introduced to the latest Planned Parenthood official to quit working for the abortion business and become a pro-life advocate.
Sue Thayer, former Planned Parenthood manager from Storm Lake, Iowa, shared her conversion story with thousands of pro-life people who participated in a webcast sponsored by 40 Days for Life to wrap up its latest successful campaign resulting in more than 500 unborn children saved from abortions.
"Sue spoke out publicly about her 17 years of working inside Planned Parenthood and witnessing - first hand - how the organization was aggressively striving to increase their abortion numbers," said Shawn Carney, the director of 40 Days. "As someone who had believed the lie that Planned Parenthood was all about "preventing abortions," Sue voiced her concerns about this within Planned Parenthood "¦ and they promptly fired her."
"After a time of healing from her experiences, Sue took a leap of faith this fall and led the 40 Days for Life campaign outside the Planned Parenthood center she used to manage," Carney said. "Like you, Sue spent this fall praying for an end to abortion "¦ but Sue was also praying for those who used to work with her inside Planned Parenthood." Ref. Source 6

Sebelius Called on to Quit Over Planned Parenthood Scandal
A leading pro-life organization is calling on HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to quit because of a scandal involving the destruction of Planned Parenthood record during her administration as governor of Kansas.
The Obama official has come under heavy fire from prolife groups who are pointing out how a state attorney general she appointed in Kansas destroyed documents related 107 criminal charges former Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline filed against the abortion business. The charges alleged that planned Parenthood failed to report cases of child r-pe on children on whom Planned Parenthood did abortions, that it failed to test whether an unborn child was viable (as required by state law) before doing a late-term abortion, and that it manipulated records it submitted to the state to cover up those crimes.
Because former attorney general Steve Six, the Sebelius appointee, destroyed the documents, a court dismissed all of the felony charges filed against Planned Parentood because the evidence supporting those charges had been destroyed.
Now, the American Life League says that, with growing evidence strengthening the connection between the possible illegal destruction of records in the criminal case against Planned Parenthood in Kansas and Sebelius, the organization is Secretary Sebelius to resign from her cabinet level position in the Obama administration. Planned Parenthood, NARAL Oppose Sex-Selection Abortion Ban
As members of Congress hold a hearing today on legislation that would ban sex-selection abortions and abortions done if the unborn child is of a specific race, leading pro-abortion advocacy groups are strongly opposed to it.
Their opposition could explain why organizations like Planned Parenthood, NARAL and the ACLU almost never speak out against the horrible human rights abuses associated with the one-child policy in China - ranging from sex-selection abortions, to forced abortions, to coercive sterilizations and infanticides.
As members prepare to hear from experts on how the sex-selection abortion culture has made its way from nations like China and India to the United States, according to one study, Planned Parenthood, NARAL, ACLU and a total of 30 pro-abortion groups banded together for a letter opposing the legislation, the Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act.
The claim the bill, sponsored by pro-life Rep. Trent Franks, an Arizona Republican, is 'simply more of the same from the anti-choice extremists choice extremists in the House" and they urged a no vote on it.
"[T]he bill will effectively exacerbate already existing disparities by limiting some women's access to comprehensive reproductive health care and penalizing health care providers," they allege. Ref. Source 5
Father of Girl Who Died From Abortion Slams Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood: Husband Not Allowed in Abortion Counseling
If Planned Parenthood had its way with influencing Alisha, she might not be the mother of two sons today. Last week we told you of Addison, who went to Planned Parenthood in Houston for help when she thought she was pregnant and found they only wanted to help her if she was interested in killing her baby.
Sadly, this wasn't a unusual story, and Alisha learned it a few years ago in Tampa, FL when she was just a 23-year old newlywed.
Preying on women who think Planned Parenthood will help them when they are poor and uninsured works to some degree because well meaning pro-life people unknowingly walk through their doors, which is how Alisha found the Planned Parenthood at 56th and Busch in Tampa. Not long after she was married, Alisha took a home pregnancy test which gave her a positive result. Because she didn't have insurance, and because she remembered many of her friends in high school got birth control from Planned Parenthood, she went for one of the ever-publicized free pregnancy tests at Planned Parenthood in Tampa. Planned Parenthood Loses $200K Tax-Funded Grant in Michigan
The state of Michigan has withdrawn a $200,000 taxpayer-funded grant to Planned Parenthood Mid and South Michigan, which is in the process of building a new abortion facility in Auburn Hills.
The Michigan Department of Community Health dropped the grant, according to Ed Rivet, Legislative Director for Right to Life of Michigan. The grant was supposed to go towards helping Planned Parenthood furbish its 17,050 sq. Ft. Mill in Auburn Hills, which is currently just an empty building, according to pro-life blogger Jill Stanek.
"Planned Parenthood paid $733,151 cash for the structure in November 2010," Stanek says. "Interestingly, Planned Parenthood is misrepresenting how big the building is and how much it paid."
"But there was a wrinkle, a deed restriction on the building barring its use as an abortion clinic. The restriction was put in place by the owners of the Comfort Inn Hotel located behind the building when they purchased it from the former owner of Planned Parenthood's property several years ago," Stanek continues. "In October 2010 Planned Parenthood attorneys tried to pull a fast one by getting the Comfort Inn owners to agree the building could be used as a "medical office[ ]," without mentioning the A-word or telling them Planned Parenthood was the purchaser. Planned Parenthood readily admits this." Ref. Source 1
Planned Parenthood Botches Abortion, Sends Woman to Hospital
The Planned Parenthood abortion business has botched the abortion done on a woman and her unborn child in Iowa that has resulted in sending the woman to a local hospital for medical attention.
Local pro-life advocates providing abortion alternatives information to women outside the Planned Parenthood of the Heartland abortion facility in Sioux City, Iowa noted that, at 1:30 p.m. Local time yesterday, an ambulance responded to an emergency call from Planned Parenthood. Once it arrived at the abortion clinic, the ambulance transported a patient to a local hospital.
The pro-life advocates at the scene said they recalled seeing the same woman earlier in the day as she entered the abortion center and her medical condition is unknown at this time. Because if privacy laws, pro-life advocates concerned about the condition of the woman could not ascertain it.
Sherill Glassmaker, a pro-life activist who was just leaving a neighboring pregnancy resource center, noticed the ambulance in the parking lot and began taking pictures to document the incident. Glassmaker said a paramedic working for Siouxland Paramedics took time out from his job to approach her and complain about her presence at the abortion facility. During the conversation with her, he confirmed that he was responding to a 911 call for emergency medical assistance. Ref. Source 3
Planned Parenthood Sees 28% Decline in Private Donations
Last week the 2009-2010 Planned Parenthood annual report was released and it shows that the leading abortion group had suffered a significant decline in private contributions. In 2009 they reported 308 million in private donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations yet in 2010 they saw that number fall to 223.8 million.
While it is unknown what exactly caused the decline in financial support, Planned Parenthood has come under increased criticism in recent years after getting caught willing to cover-up the child s-xual abuse and accepting funds specifically for the purpose of aborting black babies.
The chart below illustrates the drop-off. Ref. Source 9
