Planned Parenthood Gives Up Stopping 72-Hour Abortion Waiting Period
The Planned Parenthood abortion business has given up trying to stop a 72-hours abortion waiting period in the South Dakota, in what is the longest abortion waiting period on abortion in the country.
The law in question, which has been embroiled in a legal battle since passage, would require women considering an abortion to visit a crisis pregnancy center before going to an abortion business to get counseling on abortion's alternatives as well as the risks associated with having one. The idea behind the bill - which goes further than legislation in other states - is to get women tangible pregnancy help and support that they won't normally find at an abortion center. The counseling would not require any out of pocket expense on behalf of the women considering an abortion. Ref. Source 2
Planned Parenthood Sees Record High Abortions, Taxpayer Funding
The new annual report released by the national Planned Parenthood abortion business shows it did more abortions in its last year than ever before in its history.
The new report released by the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) shows the abortion giant did a record 333,964 abortions on unborn children during the 2011-2012 fiscal year. Those abortions were estimated to have generated $150 million dollars for the "nonprofit" organization. Ref. Source 7
Planned Parenthood: $1.2 Billion "Nonprofit," $542 Million From Govt
Americans often look with disdain on people who continually live off of government assistance. While those from left to right would generally concur that welfare programs can be helpful for those in times of crisis, the majority of people grow weary, and even angry, when people live off of Uncle Sam for years on end.
This reality makes it a mystery of why the tolerance of Planned Parenthood's dependence on Uncle Sam (and Uncle Obama). As we reported, Planned Parenthood's latest annual report for the 2011-2012 reporting year shows that abortions were up by a few thousand. Ref. Source 1
Planned Parenthood Did 100,000 Fewer Breast Cancer Screenings
The Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) released two documents last week[1] showing that the abortion chain continues to grow its abortion business while its provision of other services continues to decline.
Among Planned Parenthood's significantly decreased services are its breast health services. That is especially ironic considering the media storm during the 2011/2012 Susan G. Komen Foundation grant changes. While Planned Parenthood has used breast health services as a major talking point in fund raising, that facts show it has become a smaller share of its efforts. Ref. Planned Parenthood Abandons "Pro-Choice" Term on Abortion
Pro-lifers have always disdained the term "pro-choice," because it is intentionally ambiguous. It lets abortion supporters off the hook. Now, apparently even "pro-choice" has become radioactive.
On January 9, with carefully controlled fanfare (no press release, hand-picked reporters), Planned Parenthood announced it was abandoning the term "pro-choice." Ref. Source 9
Planned Parenthood Falsely Uses Mammograms to Defend Tax-Funding
Reeling from a vote in the House of Representatives that would deny any and all taxpayer funding, the Planned Parenthood abortion business is turning to its non-abortion 'services" to defend the need for the government dole.
However, it turns out that, in one case, when it comes to mammograms, Planned Parenthood doesn't actually provide the service. Ref. Source 6
Planned Parenthood Opposes Bill Protecting Babies Born After Botched Abortions
The Planned Parenthood abortion business in Florida is opposing a bill in the state legislature that would provide medical care and legal protection for babies who are born alive after failed abortions.
This is the same legislation President Barack Obama refused to support during his time in the Illinois legislature and it mirrors a national law President George W. Bush signed after nurse Jill Stanek exposed how her Chicago-area hospital left babies to die in utility closets after botched abortions. Ref. Source 3
New Planned Parenthood Statement Defends Pro-Infanticide Remarks
The Florida affiliate of the Planned Parenthood abortion business has released a new statement defending the remarks its lobbyist made that drew national condemnation for essentially endorsing infanticide.
The pro-life bill, HB 1129, ultimately cleared the House Criminal justice Subcommittee. The bill would require that medical care be given to newborns, likely to be premature, who survive botched abortions. The care would be given at a hospital and not at the abortion clinic. Ref. Source 3
