This is a little ditty about me down on the bio... I'm a philosophically disposed spiritualist with a non-reliant bent on logic. Writing is a necessity, because it hurts not to. I live to write, but I also write to live. Baseball is my other life, and everything goes good with classic rock music. I'm a listmaker extraordinaire, and in some areas I'm sure I could be classified as obsessive compulsive, but at least that's better than being apathetic. Chess is the best game ever invented, M*A*S*H and Northern Exposure were the best TV shows ever created, the LDS church is the most sensible modern religion ever founded and the only one that follows the patterns of Christ's ancient church, and practices what it preaches.
Most of the best music of the last 100 years came around 1968-1975, although the mid-'80s were quite good as well once you ignore the fad genres of the time. Pink Floyd and the Beatles must have been inspired from above, because I don't see how humans could have produced works so grand. I like quirky movies, but there's a fine line between quirky and idiotic. Joe Versus the Volcano, for example, was both quirky and intelligent. The Princess Bride was a modern work of art. French Kiss was a joy. Pulp Fiction, if you can get the TV version, was quirky on steroids, and very imaginative. I'm a father of seven children, all still at home. I love life, and my motto is "It's always great to be alive, and sometimes even good to be awake."

I was also told to ask a question I have here.
I have 30 points to get my avatar, which privilege I've now bought. When I go to upload the avatar, it tells me that it's the wrong file type. It's definitely a .jpg file, it's only 7kb, and it's within the size constraints listed of 100x120 pixels. Any ideas?
Gracias
It's a scene from the 1981 PG movie "The Gods Must Be Crazy." It's the main character, who's a bushman, and he's wearing a loincloth. Completely family-friendly film. This is the part in the movie where he thinks he's at the edge of the world.
I'll have to try switching the height and width in the avatar. In the process, my ability to upload an avatar apparently has been lost, and it used up the 30 points.
