Renisha McBride Murder Case

Theodore Wafer was convicted of second-degree murder and manslaughter charges in the killing of Renisha McBride. McBride, 19, was shot to death on Wafer's porch last year. He claimed he acted in self-defense. Ref. USAToday

Theodore Wafer was convicted of second-degree murder in the Nov. 2 death of 19-year-old Renisha McBride, an unarmed woman who appeared on his porch before dawn. Wafer apologized to McBride's family at the sentencing, saying he killed a woman who was "Too young to leave this world." Ref. USAToday
