According to TV6 News there was a scare at Piarco Airport because a passenger on a flight from London was flagged for the Ebola virus. It turned out to be just a scare. The Ebola virus is dangerous to all infected.

If Ebola come here it go kill we. If someone infected instead of staying isolated they will go to some fete and call it Ebola party and the next thing you know the whole country infected and they have to quarantine the country.

There are cases being reported in the USA, from there anyone can get it and I'm so worried that we may not have adequate health care here if there is an outbreak in Trinidad or even Tobago.

There are people online asking for Carnival 2015 to be suspended because of Ebola and yet the Minister of Health says it is not necessary. Really? Allowing all these foreigners to come to our country and spreading this?

Ebola Virus In Trinidad

According to CNews Live, Trinidad and Tobago has banned travellers from Ebola stricken countries with immediate effect. Any person coming from Sierra Leone, Guinea, Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia and Nigeria will not be allowed entry into the country.

Also, any person who visited those countries within a six week period will also be prohibited. Citizens who visited those countries will be subjected to an initial quarantine period of 21 days on their return.

The government is debating whether Carnival should be delayed / prevented in 2015. Not only am I not for Carnival in general but also I am quite happy if they do that since the high risk of bodies of sweat rubbing up against each other makes Ebola, AIDS and whatever else flourish during that event.
