When exactly is a general election constitutionally due? We're already in March so there should be a date soon because if its September then that's only like 6 months away.

It is due in September but the PM can call it anytime before that. No one is waiting for the official date though all parties are already campaigning.

Comments: The PNM changing up the people they want running for the election but they forgetting to change the main one: Rowley. Not everyone likes Rowley, I don't think he represents everyone and many were hoping for someone else to run against the more charismatic Kamla Persad-Bissessar.

Both sides are equally as dark and dirty. Most times they are pointing fingers about someone saying something bad and yet they say the same thing themselves. Politicians in this country are a terrible example to the people specially the young people.

As expected the election campaign of both sides has continued to be nasty dropping to all time record lows rather than dealing with real issues they are going the route of personal attacks.

There will not be an improvement on this, things will get worst as the election date draws closer. If the tactic of the PP is to make fun of Rowley in order to win then they are going about it the wrong way. If anything they are causing the opposite effect! I think parliament is due to close soon therefore the election date also needs to be called soon.

The day Vernella Alleyne-Toppin decided to say those nasty things about Rowley in Parliament will be known as the day the PP lost the 2015 General Elections.

What Vernella Alleyne-Toppin did, as bad as it was, will be forgotten in the next few days or when the next big controversy picks up. Meanwhile, Dr. Keith Rowley is handling it well by not commenting on it and allowing the media to continue to highlight him as the victim.
