THE one dollar thieves who murdered grandfather Cecil Guevara found after killing him, they ripped up and threw into his truck.

The killers, police believe, are younger than Guevara's grandchildren.

Guevara, 66, was stabbed twice, once to the chest and once to the upper left shoulder, when he was ambushed at a car park in Maloney, near to the shopping complex.

He went to Maloney to pay his hand in a sou sou, $600, and police believe the killers waited in the car park to rob him. They ambushed and killed him after he had already paid out the money.

He was accustomed going to Maloney, as he has been in the sou sou for over a decade.

"I would like to see some kind of justice. But we not seeing it in this land," Hazel-Ann Safann, 44, Guevara's eldest daughter, said.

"If you come to rob him, take what you must and leave him with his life. Why... Why... I no longer have a father. I would like to see the face of the person who kill my father to ask him why."
