T&T Television - A Joke or Quality Entertainment?

What do you think about the Television stations in Trinidad & Tobago?

Here are some things to consider:

1. Do they try to promote local entertainment?
2. Do they only show quality shows?
3. Do they have 'something for everyone'?
4. Do you think they screen shows well for content and age group?
5. Do they have standards?
6. Are they up to the standard of the US stations?

Lastly, you can state which is your favorite station? TTT, TV6 or InfoTV 4?

It's definetly a joke. There is no programs of real quality, most of the shows are very old or they repeated it over and over, so it's really common to see the same episode of Judge Judy for instance, at least weekly.
The movies that they promote like 'really cool' are a joke. Can you believe they're going to show Pretty Woman AGAIN!!!???? They repeat the shows constantly. Come on, if they want to have a decent TV station at least they should try to pay for new shows!. Look at TTT for instance, the Oprah Winfrey Show is suing them because of years of not paying the rights to show the program!.
All three channels definetly need a real 'cleaning'.

Trinidad televeision is a big joke,.yep I said it a joke, it's filled with ads most of the time and the programmes they air are either sitcoms that are on their last legs( those that are going to be scraped by the television stations in the states) or are programmes that are so old my aunt's and uncle's remember it.That's not funny!!
We have so much talent in trinidad, remember sugar cane arrows that was quite good and no boundries that was quite entertaining and  people of trinidad could definiely relate to it.Westwood park is ok, but they ned to have a 'soap 'if you want to call it that, that doesn't mirrior upper class trinidad, there must be soethig for the all stratas of trinidad society.

Not everyone owns a business and have people in high places they need to be more realistic, meet the needs of trinidad and tobago live style, not a freash water yankee version.

Well actually Westwood Park shows also the other side of Trinidadians, the lower part. Who will want to see a show where all they show is liming, drinking, partying, people who are not educated or living in poor conditions? Nobody will watch the show, why do you think that Trinis like so much the Young and The Restless because maybe they dream a lifestyle they cannot afford and that  hour of dream is the break they get to forget how they really live. I think is great that in Westwood Park show an upper class Trinidad. A critic in a newspaper said that the show will help the image that people have outside Trinidad, he says that 'they will know that Trinis are not all poor, with rotten teeth and uneducated' there is another side of Trinis, yes, the minority but it exists.

Comments: Trinidad&Tobago is one of the most sweetest places on earth,someone should show and tell a story about that but at the same time show the sorrow because no country in the world is prefect. Trinidad TV is a joke because people need too open there eyes and see that we are becoming a new country. TAKE A CHANGE that's what people need to do because if you don't take one who will the country grow.

Competition is the element of improvement. Only since cable came on the airwaves has there been things like web telecasting, callins and other things. The old TTT was the pits because they really didn't have anything to compete with plus you had the government involved and you know how that goes.

I understand the need for the government to publicize new progammes or development but do I have to see it after almost every TV programme? There should be a special channel for this, which there is so IF the public wants to see it they can.
