Actually this is how home on stable land masses should be built! More economical and the ambient temp is around 68 degrees. In a hot place like this it would be nice, the hard part is people like windows solution could be fiber optic pictures from out side.

Think of a periscope but use a camera and fiber optics and a flat screen built into the wall. Solar panels would be able to supply 90% to 100 % of all power required to run this home.

Solar tubes with fiber would pump in plenty of daylight. In Canada several homes like this in the prairie provinces have been built and run on less power for a year then many suburban homes.

I have seen some homes built in the south western US I think New mexico that use all their own power and water. They are built out of recycled tires and cans. As they are now very self reliant and use less energy than any normal home. I think building houses this way or like these in australia is the way to go. IF you do not spend as much on utilities you can pocket more money. I would place it like living in a cave. smile.gif
