Between a quarter and a third of the world's wildlife has been lost since 1970, says the Living Planet Index.

It is not the larger animals that I fear we lose it is the insects and pollinating bugs. With out those our crops fail and we are doomed. The lager animals are important but only in that they support the rest.

Scarier is the lose of ocean life and the impart on the vegetation there as it is such a huge producer of oxygen.

Living Planet Index UFO & Writing Art Education Sciences

Yes even though we do not like the bugs and other little creatures they are here for a reason. As more and more of them die out then the food chain is going to be affected upwards. Sooner or later it is going to effect us because some foods will no long thrive.
