WASHINGTON (AP) -- Construction of new homes posted the biggest increase in more than two years in April, a rare bit of good news in what has been the worst downturn in housing in more than two decades.

Construction may be up nation wide but here it is suffering. We have a major construction group that is facing bankrupcy because it can not paid for the labor or get new materials to finish houses that have been started. This is do to the fact that houses are not selling very well here right now.
I was too when I first saw the headline stating it was up especially after watching the news at the courthouse talking to people as they came out after filing a lien on the construction company here that is having soo much trouble. I know the housing market is not recovered yet. I think that this is a fluke and a correction may be coming. Then again I could be wrong
I am in the construction field an it is not up, which is why I have to much time on my hands. These reports come from the same people that said the banking system was fine 8 months ago. Don't believe anything they say.
