The most common Latvian recipes are: kartupelu zupa ar senem or Latvian potato-wild mushroom soup, abolu zupa ar kilkeniem or Latvian apple soup with apple dumplings, rolls stuffed with tongu and served with yoghurt, venison chop with wildsauce, creamy potato, pan-fried salmon, pot roast with roasted vegetables, pork chops with mustard Bourbon sauce, and, generally a lot of dishes consisting of pork, eggs, onions, potatoes, wheat, cabbage, barley, black peas, and bacon. (this is what internet says if you google popular Latvian recepies ) In my opinion the most popular as a tradition is black peas with bacon.
