The Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office in Ohio has handed over to prosecutors the results of its investigation into the shooting death of 12-year-old Tamir Rice.

"We have concluded our work and I have turned it over to the prosecutor, who will take it through the next steps," Sheriff Clifford Pinkney said in a statement.

In November, Cleveland Police Officer Timothy Loehmann fired the fatal shots at Tamir within two seconds of arriving outside a recreation center where the sixth-grader was playing with a pellet gun. The boy died the next day. Ref. CNN

A Cleveland Municipal Court judge released his findings Thursday in the review of the shooting death of 12-year-old Tamir Rice by Cleveland Police Officers Frank Garmback and Timothy Loehmann. The judge found probable cause in the accusations of murder, involuntary manslaughter, reckless homicide, negligent homicide and dereliction of duty for Loehmann.
