What is your opinion of David Cook's music? He is the winner of the 2008 American "Idol" competition. For me, he is very good but too much of a rocker for my taste. He is certainly very talented.
I am just glad that a rocker type has won the contest for the first time. There were other rockers who were much better but eliminated from ameican idol because they were rockers. I guess america is finally ready to have a more upbeat kind of sound.

Sad news for David and his family. His brother (the one who had brain cancer) has died at the age of 36. My deepest sympathies to David and his whole family at this difficult time in their lives.
