Greetings,
It is unusual to speak of yourself personally when entering a role-playing site/forum, but seems there is much more here than just what I am seeking. Often I do not exist, just my characters and that is pretty much the way I prefer it, although the real personality will always emerge sooner or later.
I have been role playing online for a little over three years now. In my younger days, I participated in many a D&D campaign, and dabbled in many other rpg-systems, even creating my own 'hybrid-systems' in order to allow players to have more control in combat sequences. The role playing in medieval settings had always been one of my greatest interests and the only reason I hope to be able to gain entry into this forum.
We old men who used to lurk behind the dungeon master screen, guiding characters through dark forests and ancient castles can now have access to entire communities of avid role players that cross generations. I have always enjoyed writing and I find participating in, and creating adventures a nice way to relax and exercise my ideas. I am ever amazed of the creativity exhibited by some of the players, and love the challenge of trying to compliment and expand their concepts.
I have been seeking a site that hosts a decent sized community of serious role players, as any socializing that may occur outside of the stories and out of character is very secondary to me. I enjoy participating in constructive debates and offering an opinion here and there, but I care little for idle chit chat. Even this introduction reveals more of the person behind the character than I usually disclose.

Thank you. If in fact, these forums are either player story scenarios or are gm controlled (no player god-mode) I will have no trouble keeping up with the posts, and I am always responsible in letting others know if for some reason I will not be able to see an adventure through. I am going to look about and get my bearings - the setup of this site is quite a bit different than I am used to, and I am still not sure what's what. I may opt to simply go Premium (if that is still an option). I'll give the 30 posts a go though.
So, the 30 posts are representative of any topic within the 'International Community' or do they have to be specifically related to role playing?
I like the MEMBER WARS section. So, this area is still reliant on the 30 post clause? I am assuming it is all connected not matter what you participate in.
I'll get the posts done, when I find something that I can be constructive in.
A few more questions. The ' Member Wars' still uses the same general map right? Can either of you recommend some resources that will allow me to peruse some history to get a feel for the common setting that is used?
