The crime situation in Argentina, specially Buenos Aires is totally out of control and the President seems to be so uncaring and blind at the cries of the people. There are robberies everywhere and people do not feel safe, they are living like prisoners in their own homes!

Argentina arrested a teen hacker who netted $50,000 a month, if convicted he faces 10 years in prison.

international QUOTE
Dubbed "The superhacker", the teenager was making $50,000 (£31,500) a month, working from his bedroom in Buenos Aires, police say.

Police say it took them a year to close in on the teenager.

The young man lived with his father, a computer expert, in Buenos Aires.

I understand the need for better wages but is it worth letting a country fall into crime for the sake of more pay? How much are the policemen in Argentina paid?

Krusten, it depends on the province but they are paid very poorly. Most of them not even reaching US$1,000 per month. Adding to the fact that the police stations are in deplorable conditions.

Looting shouldn't be blamed to police officers but to thieves who take any opportunity to commit crime.

A 19 year old boy was stabbed to death in Villa Bosh, Buenos Aires. He was leaving the gym when they tried to rob him and he resisted. I know most people do not understand why Argentinians are resisting but when you have a system that does NOT deal with criminals, when you have a system that let the criminals FREE because they are minors, when you have been robbed 6 or 7 times, you are just so fed up of that situation that you "Fight back" And unfortunately leads to death.
