Ever had an interest in where you came from, who was your grandmother or why your name is what it is? Then you just may be interested in genealogy. Basically genealogical research involves tracing your ancestors using documents, live accounts and records so that you build what is called, 'A pedigree tree'.

If you are interested in researching a particular name please start your message with the subject as the NAME of the person you are researching. This helps in wading through hundreds of threads. Please be specific in the body of your post with such thigs as dates, names, location, etc. Remember the same name might be located in different countries. Here is an example:
