When was the last time you told your child that you love them? Special needs or not, children need to know they're loved and they need to hear the words too. There aren't perfect children but they have perfect love.

It's important to take one day at a time, show love and don't care what other people who don't understand the situation think.. If they have a problem with your child, then it's them who are being narrow minded, and ignorant.
Special needs children have a lot of love to give, and sometimes they can't show it the same as other kids, but still need to be told how much they are loved all the same .
