The event was headlined by a featherweight bout between former UFC Lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and former WEC Featherweight champion Urijah Faber. Luke Barnatt was expected to face Clint Hester at UFC Fight Night 63. However, Hester pulled out of the fight in early March due to a broken foot.Subsequently, Barnatt was pulled from the card entirely in favor of a matchup with Mark Muñoz at this event.

The fights for that night were all entertaining, they did not have these boring standup sparring competitions that you see at some other events. It was nice to see The Filipino Wrecking Ball go out with a win, he had a good career and he bows out gracefully as all should.

Frankie Edgar definitely won the main card while Faber seems to be losing steam, he just isn't as good as he used to be/ That or the fact that MMA participants keep raising the bar.
