Feeling Sorry For Players

As a GM do you ever feel sorry for your players? You might decide to provide intervention if they are in a difficult situation or healing if they are about to die.

Players Sorry Feeling

Never feel sorry for my players. I usually think its funny what they do. Of course when they are stuck, I'll drop a hint in form of a book or a dead body with note a them.

As for Dying, it's unfortunately part of the game. One thing I don't do is place them in impossible situation. If the odd of winning a fight are too high, they will have a passage to run away from that fight. If they don't, then its not on me

I don't know if any of the Dungeon Masters of the games I am in feel sorry for me but I know I can get my characters to do some pretty insane stuff at times. Usually he needs rescuing from his errors.

Players Sorry Feeling

As a Dungeon Master I always give the players a chance. If they do not take that chance then if they die it is on them and not me. Just like if they do not haggle on prices and just pay the asking price it is again on them and not the NPC's. smile.gif
