The Earth Is So Unique

If the earth is so unique and other life forms aren't then we might be truly alone in the sense of intelligent life out there. This theory might be why Directly Meeting With Aliens has not happened yet. Even if there was another 'earth' like ours somewhere out there then the main problem will be the vast distance. Neither of our technologies will allow for much if any communication. We assume that there is a species so advanced that crossing light years can happen in an instant - maybe its just wishful thinking.
