JB, may I have a Public Blog please? I have fulfilled the qualifications, and I have a bit to write on.
Omnusi, I did it for you. You can access your new Blog via: Omnusi's Blog.
I actually was a core member of a rogue group of gamers named "The Dorm-Dwellers". The irony is we would have games all over the campus after hours - in the steam tunnels beneath the gymnasium, the hall in front of the auditorium, in the flickering light of the underground tunnel that led to the Math Wing. It lent a certain atmosphere to the whole thing. The thing was, it wasn't just against the school, it was more against the moral Majority who based an entire opinion on lies and propaganda. I had played and certainly never tried to cast a real spell, or summoned a demon! It was stupid beyond belief. My friend was another core member, and though I ran the majority of the games (Saturdays we started at 8 AM and ran through till curfew at 10 PM...ah, those were the days!), he introduced me to a bunch of new ones, and we had a lot of fun.
The Jack Sparrow thing...well, I kind of have a thing for pirates. You remember I work at the world's largest retail chain? When the Pirates movies came out, I dressed up. Caribbean wig, handmade sash, tights, boots, you name it. Confused a lot of people, I don't mind telling you. I'm pretty good with impressions as well, and do a pretty good Jack. I'll probably put a self-picture up at some time, but Jack works for me for now.
Oh, and when I LARP, I'm always the black-robed wizard. Fear my bean-bag lightning bolts!
Hi Omnusi, just to let you know, your reply post was moved from the Mormon board to the Catholic board as that is what you are basing your discussion on: Catholic View On Why Children Are Abused.
Really?! I'm trying to carry out a discussion with someone, connect on an issue they care about and it's automatically gated off! Sometimes this sorting and organizing thing gets carried through to its ridiculous extremes! Please don't be a conversation Nazi and put my response back so it can be in its proper context. Frankly, I don't give a blue wazoo about the religion of it, I'm trying to offer council and support. To me, this makes as much sense as moving it over to the "Posts Made While Wearing a White Shirt" Board!
