Kermit Advance Dungeons & Dragons 2.0 Edition RPG Character Creation

Hi everyone,

Here is where are all the rules for character creation will be posted. Also, all questions related to the games itself should be posted here.

Character creation: Use the button to the top left to store information about your Character. Use this based on the terms for information about playing AD&D 2.0 Rules & Instructions

For people that know 2.0 edition, please go ahead and create your character and post it here once it is done. If not, simply follow the step below. If your not sure, please feel free to drop me a line.

1st step: Decide what type of race/class you want to play (I know, I know, I am not following the proper order of rolling the dice first, but I never like the fact that a player needs to listen to his dice to choose his/her character) We will worry about class requirement later.

2nd step: Roll your stats (And post all roll here).

To roll your stats, you will roll 6 pair of 4D6(Drop the lowest). In each pair, you pick the best one. Example: Roll#1 is 16 and Roll# is 12, your first stats become 16, then go on to roll#3 and roll#4 and so on. Don't forget to drop the lowest of the four D6

3rd step: Decide where you put your stats ([Strength], [Dexterity], Con, Int, [Wisdom], [Charisma]) - Again post it here.

4th step: Choose your Weapon proficiency and Non weapons proficiency (NWP) - For amount to be chosen, please ask me once you roll your dice and choose you Intelligence score. I allow for the number of language to be transfer to NWP

5th step: Choose your equipment: All Character starts with the max amount of money, but must buy all his/her gear.
- Warrior = 200Gp
- Wizard = 50Gp
- Rogue = 120 Gp
- Priest = 180Gp

6th step: Don't forget you saving throws

7th step: Choose your spell - Wizard

Wizard - Roll a 1D6 + 5, this will be your starting number of spell in your spellbook. Please go ahead and choose them from the Player's handbook.

7th step: Choose your God and Spell

My world has a Pantheon already with over 20 gods. Please tell me which type of god (Thunder, Love, War, ...) you want to follow and I will let you know of the sphere this specific god has (Major and minor). Once you have that, you will be able to see what spell you have access everyday.

Both Wizard and Cleric will need to tell me at the beginning of everyday, which spell they prepare (Cleric pray for them and wizard memorize them from their spellbook)

Once all is done, write your character info, either in your character sheet or here, but tell me once done and I will review and we can make the appropriate changes.

Once approved, I will enter your character in my excel sheet and will keep track of everything you own.

One of my biggest motto as a Dungeon Master is that the rules are just suggestion. While I will abide by most of them, there are rules that I will changes. When in doubt, simply ask me. I will ask JB to post a link to some documentation.

Thanks

Ok I want to be a Human ranger. I rolled the following with 4d6 taking away lowest 17 and 13 so 17, 9 and 17 so 17, 14 and 12 so 14, 7 and 16 so 16, 16 and 15 so 16, 9 and 15 so 15, so I put 17 for strength, 17 for dexterity, 16 for wisdom, 16 for constitution, 15 for intelligence and 14 for charisma. I rolled random age of 17 years old 5'7 " Tall and 177 lbs. I have not bought equipment yet I get 200 gold right?

Looks good KNtoran.

200 gp is right. With this you need to buy your weapons, armour and equipment.

For XP, I do not use the 10% rule. I don't like that the rich gets richer .. The XP will be awarded for good role play and combat.

Don't forget about you ranger abilities hide in shadows and move silently. Let me know if you want me to calculate these number.

That's a good start my friend, it's clear you've done that before! .

I think you are almost done. Here are the last few things:
- Weapons specialization is only available to the class fighter. This is a distinction from 1.0
- from the fact that you can't specialized, you can be proficient in two more weapon. Remember, this does not mean you have to buy them or even carry them, it simply means you can use them properly.

- Also, regarding language, if you want to learn less at the start and transfer those into NWP, I'm fine with that.

- Two gods fit what your looking for:
- Ktorid – Goddess of Nature
- Leora – Goddess of Animals

Once you do these small change, you will be the official first player!

Sorry KNtoran,

I'm going to need a small (Or big, whatever you like) background from you.

For the first part of the story, it won't matter much, but after that, in the open world, I will pull stuff from your background and let you deal with the fallback(He(Laugh)). The more, the better!

Thanks and congrats

Wow! Those are good rolls! .

The only issue I see is with the NWP. I'm going to give everyone read/write when they choose a language, so you can remove that one. But Blind-fighting cost 2 points. So, by giving you Read/Write, I think you are done.

Kerm

Ps. A littel background would be nice. Thanks.

Snooty Elf says...

Falrun Greenleaf background: Falrun was born the first son to an elven king of a tribe of elves in a large forest. As he was brought up in his father's court, he never really felt adequate around his father and his father's advisers.

Being of only little better than average intelligence and wisdom, he felt overwhelmed by the responsibility that his father seemed to handle so well. In response, he buried himself in his martial studies.

Having some of the best martial instructors in the kingdom to learn from, Falrun found that he had an affinity for the Long Sword which he pursued vigorously. Some would say, to a fault.

With his focus centered on his studies in an attempt to escape from the politics around him, he failed to notice the contempt that he was earning from his younger brother, Slevic.

Slevic was born with the intelligence that Falrun lacked. Slevic also relished in the politics of court as well as excelling in his own studies, all things magic.

It wasn't until their father took ill that Falrun realized the situation that he was in and that Slevic realized his opportunity to usurp the throne from his older, doltish brother.

One evening, on a cold and stormy night, Tebarius, Falrun's seeming sole supporter of his father's advisers, warned him that his father had been killed by somebody that made it appear that Falrun was the culprit. Tebarius could only speculate that the true villain was Slevic. But, having no hard evidence, there was nothing they could do other than get Falrun out of the castle immediately and hope for an opportunity to clear Falrun's name in the future.

Falrun has been traveling on his own since then. He hires out his martial abilities as the opportunities arise in order to make a living, but he has little hope of being able to clear his name against his crafty brother, at least not without help.

He still dreams of the day when he can regain his father's throne, but that is a dream that fades just a little bit with every passing day.
