Baralond Introduction

Hi folks,

I'm a 41-year old guy from the UK who has always noodled around the edges of various Role-playing Game 's (Most MMO's) without ever getting too seriously committed. Since the birth of my first child (Who is asleep next to me as I type this (Note to self: buy a rubber keyboard, this one is really noisy!)) earlier this year I've found myself without the time to play MMO's.

Feeling the need to scratch my Role-playing Game itch, however, I decided to look around and see if there was anything I could get involved in that wouldn't eat up 3 hours every time I sat down to play. And that's how I found this site.

I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to this particular flavour of RP gaming, however, so I'm not too sure what I'm looking for....my initial thoughts are leading in the direction of something with a Dungeons & Dragons flavour - I've played various Dungeons & Dragons PC games but never the pen & paper variety with actual real people (Although I would love to!)

Anyway, I'm glad to be hear and welcome any and all help and advice you can give me!

Hi Baralond! Thank you for a great introduction. There is plenty of help here if all is new to you we can assist. Horde gave you the essentials to start but if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask within this thread.

Welcome Baralond. Play By Post is very different from PC play as other players are moving and doing things. Basically, instead of the computer generating a character you do it and you decide what the character does. The game leaders will usually help if you're committed. Hope you like it.
