Florida Wildlife
A general Thread about Wildlife in Florida. What are the most common animals natural to Florida? Which Florida Wildlife is considered protected by local laws?
Florida has an abundance of wildlife and still has huge amount of undeveloped land for this wildlife to live in. Florida has all the 'normal' American wildlife such as white tail deer, foxes, rabbits, raccoon, beavers, etc. In addition, it has alligators and black bears, the latter of which most people don't realize. But it's premiere species have to be manatees and panthers. Yes, Florida has panthers. This doesn't even touch the sea wildlife off the coast, of which there is a tremendous abundance.
