In Reloaded and Revolutions we learn of the relationship between Niobe and Morepheus but other than being former lovers is there something more we should get out of it? They both seem to have regrets.

For me it was just a contrasting relationship compared to how Neo and Trinity are. Maybe if Morepheus wasn't so wrapped up in the prophecy then he would be with Niobe.
