My character's backstory, what do you mean? Perhaps you mean his introductory post into the roleplay?
If not, I admit to being a bit confused since I provided a backstory/history already. Unless you are expanding it?
As you can see, your post has left me with questions.
Jonathon has discovered many stories about the area south of The Yeomanry League. He's heard stories of an area around a keep to the south that continues to attract evil after it has continually been put down, the most recent time was about 20 years ago.
There must be some creature or artifact that continues to attract evil even after it's been defeated.
During Jonathon's journey, he came upon a man that appeared to have been beaten and left by the side of the road. Thinking that he was close to the keep he found it odd that a patrol hadn't been by or that there would be such banditry so close to the keep.
Knowing that he had to help he approached the man to see what he could do when he felt a hard blow to the back of his head and everything went dark...
Well that is one way to get Jonathon into the roleplay. Thanks for clearing up my confusion. Also decided to look up The Yeomanry League. Edited: Thomaslee on 13th Jan, 2016 - 12:58am
Jonathon's been added to the Role-playing Game story. Thomaslee, you can start posting to the story. Not sure if you caught that, yet. You're the guy chained to the wall with a bump on your head.
Will you roll for my spells or may I choose for myself the spells Jonathon knows? Also, how many spells would he have known/learned? Edited: Thomaslee on 14th Jan, 2016 - 8:54pm
If I can, I will try to have Jonathon talk his way out of this situation. Better made a few rolls as well, though I would need to wait a tunr before acting on them. I would very much rather not make a new character after just starting.
The battle has already started... Well might as well go for broke. If he can't stop everyone from getting hurt or dying, Jonathon would at least know he tried, and in failure still join the fight in self defense.
What rolls should I have him make getting between the two sides while trying to avoid any attacks, also a Charisma or Oratory check and maybe a Religion check to recognize what deity the clerics worship? I should probably know this before I make my post, that way I don't mess up and am unable to edit. Edited: Thomaslee on 20th Jan, 2016 - 12:04am
You can do the religion check to identify the cleric's cult, but as far as ending the hostilities, it's your party that started the combat, so you'll have to convince your party to stop. And that is role-play... .
