"I hear you" says Hunter to Drethen staying in his spot. "You will have to that investigation without me for the moment. While I tend to have a sixth sense about these things I don't like to ignore the very obvious signs of death glaring me in the face."
As the party heads down the north passage, sans Hunter, they turn a corner to the east. The signs of carnage are obvious in this passage as well.
About twenty feet from the corner of the corridor it's easy to see dried blood on the floor. Not only are there pools where something must have died and bleed out, but it's also plain to see that whatever died was dragged to the east into the room to the north.
The door on the north wall is slightly ajar and you can see four decaying corpses lying haphazardly around the room. The only other thing to note is that there are the remains of what used to be a rather ornate and large bed in the room that is now destroyed and not much more than a large pile of refuse.
Unless the door to the room is opened, lighting conditions do not allow for any additional detail, such as room dimensions. Edited: Falrun on 24th Mar, 2016 - 2:38pm
Hunter stands guard as he watches the rest of the party head north. "How can they stand the sight and smile of so much rotting flesh and blood?"
In the mean time he tries to ascertain the kind of tracks that lead to the cave and go from it.
Opening the door and investigating the room further reveals nothing new. However, Drethen does notice three pairs of eyes glowing at him from the pile that used to be a bed. The eyes are small and beady and appear to be reflecting the torchlight. They don't move with the exception of a blink or two while you watch them.
In Character: Waiting by the cave's entrance Hunter seemingly finds no tracks at all he begins to wonder if there was an alternate entrance to the cave. He looks back occasionally to see if he can hear or see his companions.
Hunter isn't able to discern any tracks in particular. He can tell that this is, or was, a high traffic area and that tracks overlap to the point of being indecipherable.
The only information that he can gain is that there are orc prints and booted (Human?) prints. The most recent appear to be boots leaving the cave.
